Programs

Our programsare based on general knowledge of Karate with aspect of team work, courtesy, discipline and respect which incorporated into each class. It must be understood that karate is not a form of violence. With cooperative workouts we strive to provide our students with the skills, energy, and confidence to pursue their goals.

We believe by training body, mind and emotion, one discovers his/her own potentials and learning how to apply them in everyday life by developing patience, respect, self-discipline and true cooperation.

A typical class may involve a number of things such as: warm-up and cardiovascular training, strength training, kihon (basic techniques), kata (forms), as well as ippon/jiyukumite (controlled/free sparring).

Students will learn how to kick and punch, block and evade. Students will train for fighting. In the process, students learn self-defence techniques to increase their options and help to prepare responses to slow down, de-escalate, or interrupt an attack.

Our training offers concepts and skills designed to develop self-protection strategies including blocks, strikes, and take-downs that will help ones to defend themselves in a real conflict situation.  This is why; we also included Shinken-Shubo training (based on boxing techniques) to our programs. One of our main goals is to be realistic with ourselves, our abilities, and our environment. We are fully aware of the evolution of martial arts in the world today, and strive to constantly adjust to it.
